Aunt Flora died due to complications of knee replacement surgery. She was 75 years old. A blood clot developed and broke off in her heart. She is survived by one child, Kay.

Mildred Matilda Padgett married her first husband, Edward J. Robertson, when she was about sixteen. They met during the Padgett’s move from Arkansas to Texas around 1884. They traveled by covered wagon. Mr. Robertson, from Ohio, was their teamster. Mr. Robertson, as I recall, was considerably older than Milddred and was a Union veteran of the Civil War.
