  Died at age 96 years, 1 month, 16 days. Obituary Notice in the June 30, 1880 issue of the Carolina Spartan newspaper: MRS. JANE McCLIMONS (Grisham, Wm. Grisham being her second husband) died in Spartanburg Co., S.C. at sunset on June 17, 1880. Her only two surviving children were by her bedside. She was born in Ireland May 1, 1786, and came to America at the age of 7 years. Her maiden name was Bailey. She married Hugh McClimons, also from Ireland. They belonged to the Seceder Church, but afterwards joined the Presbyterian, and they were the first members at Mt. Tabor, Greenville County. She always love to go to church, even after she became too deaf to hear.
