    • Died at age 59 years, 8 months, 10 days.

      He was severly wounded 31 Dec 1862 during operations before Battle of Murfreesboro, Texas in a lane near hospital. His brothers, Henry and David were also in CSA operations out of Blount, Alabama
      ------------------------------
      Manley enlisted as a Private in Company D, 26th/50th Alabama Infantry on an unspecified date. He was absent sick at hospital in Sparta, Tennessee in August 1862. He was wounded severely between December 28, 1862 and January 4, 1863 during the operations before Murfreesboro, Tennessee (in lane near hospital). He was granted furlough on January 5, 1863. He was admitted to Ocmulgee Hospital, Macon, Georgia on September 29, 1863 with wound. The place and date of his wounding was not given. He was furloughed for 30 days on September 29, 1863.
