      AGED RESIDENT DIES HERE SATURDAY
Miss Amanda Harris, 78, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. F. Harris, on the Summerville road at an early hour Saturday night as the result of aparalytic stroke.
Miss Harris had been in failing health for a number of years and the stroke of paralysis suffered Friday night proved fatal. She is the last of a family that has been prominent in this section for a number of years and her death leaves a sad spot in the hearts of all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held from the Pleasant Valley church at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. H. F. Joyner and Rev. W. M. McKenzie will conduct the services. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. The following nephews will act as pallbearers: F. K. Harris, Atlanta; W. L. Harris, Griffin; H. F. Harris, Rossville; M. G. Harris, Keith Walker, and Randolph Doss, all of Rome.

(notes: W. L. Harris is Wesley Leonidas, H. F. is Harper, M. G. is Monroe G., Keith Walker is a great nephew by Lillian Harris, and Randolph Doss is great nephew by Alva Harris. Could F. K. be Felton, son of Thomas Jefferson Harris???)
