  His headstone reads: Theodore G., son of Mr. & Mrs. Lee White, Jun 15 1907, Jan 14 1923, Just in the morning of his day of youth and love, he died." Notes from an email from John Hinshaw, Jr. on 21 Dec 2006:"According to a letter I received from Dorothy, Art's wife: Hope was always in serious trouble even before he left home. Theodore had a fight in the field with another boy. The other boy opened his head with a hoe. They inserted a metal plate during surgery, he recovered only to die later due to Georgia heat. Again, according to Dorothy, Grandpa White's (Lee) oldest daughter by first marriage was only a few years younger than Maggie."
