Atlanta - David Michael Dellinger, age 44, of Atlanta passed away July 26, 2005 at home surrounded by family and friends. A native of Oconee County, GA, Mike graduated from the University of Georgia in 1984 with dual majors in graphic design and drawing and painting. He then began his career in the graphic arts and worked for several marketing firms including Crumley and Alba and most recently Ben Marketing. His artistic talents and creativity helped to shape the marketing efforts of companies such as Coca Cola, Earthlink, Loweís and Kekalb Medical Center.
Mikeís energy and creativity extended into his community involvement. He coached Haygood United Methodist Church Youth Basketball, DHYS Baseball, and was a Pack 17 Cub Scout leader. He was also an active member of Haygood United Methodist Church where he taught Disciple Bible Study. Mikeís hobbies included collecting salt and pepper shakers, playing guitar, and writing music.
He was preceded in death by his father, W. L. Dellinger of Athens, GA. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 19 years, Natalie Walton Dellinger; his daughter, Lauren Dellinger; his son, Hayden Dellinger, his mother, Eugenia Dellinger of Watkinsville, GA; his brother, Randy Dellinger of Snellville, GA; his sister, Marie Dellinger Coulter of Watkinsville, GA and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at H. M. Patterson and Son Spring Hill, 1020 Spring St., NW Atlanta. A memorial service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 29, 2005 at the Haygood United Methodist Church, 1015 E. Rock Springs Road, Atlanta. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Michael Dellinger Memorial Honduras Mission Trip Fund at the Haygood United Methodist Church, 1015 E. Rock Springs Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30306.
