  [1] The following remarks wer sent by Hypptia Bowdoin Ray, (Mrs Neal Ray) Norwood, GA. who is a granddaughter of Eliizabeth Patman: "Elizabeth Patman was a daughter of the marriage of John Patman and Sara Wright. She was born in 1831, in Oglethorpe County, and lived there until 1847, when she moved to North Georgia. She lived to be 85 years old, retaining full possession of her faculties, and I have often heard her speak of the older members of the family whose names are given in this record." R. F. Patman, a son of John and Sara (Wright) Patman, says, "Lewis Lester married Elizabeth Patman, sister of John W Patman. The Lesters lived in Clarke County, Georgia. They had a large family - John, Andrew, Cordelia, Mary, Lizzie (Phillips) and Seaborn Lester, who was a Baptist preacher." Mrs. Neal Ray answered an advertisement, which Mrs. Estelle Cash Pike had placed in a local paper, asking for information about the Patman and Lester families, Sept. 15, 1932.
