  • Notes
    • Ellison Clarke (-1801) was head of a household of four whites and three blacks in Chesterfield County in 1783. Allison Clarke and Ann Clarke witnessed the 1792-will of Thomas Rudd. His wife was likely Ann Lester, who as Ann Clark, was a legatee of the 1793-will of Jacob Lester.
Allison Clarke left a will in Chesterfield County (will dated 5 Aug. 1800,[a] recorded 13 April 1801 [b] ). He identified his wife as Nancy and left legacies to children. Peter Clarke and Jeremiah Baugh witnessed the will. - from "The Family History of John W. Pritchett"
