  Seven daughters were born of the union of Mildred Matilda Padgett and her first husband Edward J Robertson. ______________ Mildred Matilda Padgett married her first husband, Edward J. Robertson, when she was about sixteen. They met during the Padgett’s move from Arkansas to Texas around 1884. They traveled by covered wagon. Mr. Robertson, from Ohio, was their teamster. Mr. Robertson, as I recall, was considerably older than Milddred and was a Union veteran of the Civil War.
