      Mr. Henry T. Threlkeld, 92, of 1007 Paoli Road, Carlton, GA, died Tuesday, April 30, 2002. Mr. Threlkeld was born May 8, 1909 to the late William Samuel and Sarah Isabel (Sally) Hopkins Threlkeld. Mr. Threlkeld was preceded in death by an infant son, Huell; a son-in-law, Lee (Red) Fields, Jr.; an infant great-grandson; sisters, Carol T. Betts, Ione T. Davis, Sybil T. Thompson, Mattie Lou (Tiny) T. Winn, Allie T. Anderson, and Ida Mae T. Lance; brothers, Dewey, Elroy, Woodfin, John Bill, Harold, and Jim Joe Threlkeld. Mr. Threlkeld was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church and had served as an active elder of New Hope Presbyterian Church for 50 years. Mr. Threlkeld is survived by his wife of 74 years, Ossie Oneita Scoggins Threlkeld; a daughter, Bobbie T. Fields of Elberton; a daughter and son-in-law, Merle T. and Dallas N. Fields of Comer; and a son and daughter-in-law Howard T. and Yvonia B. Threlkeld, Sr. of Comer; granddaughter and dson-in-law, Linda F. and Archie Shaw Dargan, III of Myrtle Beach, SC; Grandson and granddaughter-in-law Thomas (Tommy) L. and Deborah H. Fields of Elberton; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Howard T. (Chip) and Angela F. Threlkeld, Jr. of Carlton; great-grandchildren, Nichole Dargan and Harold C. Ambos of Savannah, GA, Shorey Dargan and Archie Shaw Dargan, IV of Myrtle Beach, SC, Whitney Fields and Aaron Fields, Elberton, Jenna Threlkeld and Howard T. (Trey) Threlkeld, III of Carlton; and a sister, Isabel T. Burroughs, Tucker. Services will be Thursday, May 2, 2002 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Presbyterian Church, Comer, GA with the Rev. Bruce Wismer and Rev. Janet Williams officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Dallas Fields, 1105 Hwy 98 E., Comer and will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Pallbearers will be nephews and great-nephews Ray hrelkeld, Greg Threlkeld, David Burroughs, Charles Kidd, Louis Betts, and Daniel Threlkeld. Honorary Pallbearers will be Earl Phillips, Jimmy Threlkeld, Howard Parham, and Lewis Keith. Flowers will be accepted; memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 556, Comer, GA 30629. Lord and Stephens, Danielsville is in charge of arrangements.
