    • Earl W. Hopkins, 79, died August 8, 2005. Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late L.G., Sr. and Lula Tolbret Hopkins and preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Hopkins and L.G. Hopkins, Jr. He was a member a deacon of Edwards Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Hopkins was Navy veteran of WW II and was retired from Westinghouse. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Lord and Stephens Chapel, WEST. Revs. Clark Ivey and Jack Segars will officiate. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Adams Hopkins; children, Steve Hopkins of Marietta, Susan Kubitz of Gainesville and Jeff Hopkins of Atlanta; sister, Farrah Wages; 5 grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. Lord and Stephens, WEST is in charge of arrangements.
