  Died at age 74 years, 5 months, 2 days. ------------------------------ William resided in Randolph County and was by occupation a farmer prior to enlisting in Company E, 58th North Carolina Infantry at the age of 41 on December 7, 1863. He was reported present in January-February 1864. He was sent to hospital in April 1864 and was reported absent sick in hospital through August 31. 1864. No further records. -- Source: John T.
