  Died at age 76 years, 0 months, 4 days. ---------------------------- Calhoun Times, July 21, 1949, Calhoun, Gordon Co., GA Benjamin Harris Died Last Week Funeral services for Benjamin A. Harris, who died late, Wenesday night, July 13, were held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Sugar Valley Old Methodist Church, the Rev. M. I. Bartley officiating. Mr. Harris is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Alice Armstrong and Hasseltine Dorsey, of Wilmington, N. C.; Mrs. Dealva Dixon, of Phoenix, Arizona; Mrs Letie Rosenau, Chicago; Miss Mabel Harris and Deward Harris, of Sugar Valley, and Davis Harris, Lumberton, N. C. and Fred Harris, of Chattanooga; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Sam Harris, of Atlanta, and W. L. Harris, of Griffin; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Malone, of Atlanta, and Mrs Minnie Farmer of Texas. Burial was in the churchyard cemetery, with Combs Funeral Home in charge.
