Samuel Bascum AARON appeared in the following Census:
1900 Walker Co., AL, 1910 in Zion Precinct 3, Walker Co, Al.
1920 Zion Precinct 3, Walker County, AL
Notice: August 20, 1924; Hydrophia fatal after seven weeks Jasper, AL August 18, 1924, Sam B. AARON a well known farmer of Sispey neighborhood, died late Monday evening after suffering two days from Hydrophia. Mr. Aaron was bitten by his own dog seven weeks ago. He took the 21 shot pasture treatment, but for some reason this failed to prevent rabies. Mr. Aaron was in Jasper before the wound on his hand healed. He said, he noticed one morning that his dog was acting queerly. He thought he saw a place where his dog was injured and he stopped to look at the place, the dog bit him on the hand. He put the dog in a crate, but the animal tore out of it. He was killed and his head saved for examination. Mr. Aaron went to Birmingham; secured a treatment and came back home, the balance of the treatments was prepared in Birmingham which was administered by his family physican. Mr Aaron did not stop work. Some think it may have prevented the treatment from taking effect. Mr. Aaron was 42 years old on January 27, 1924. Mr. Aaron left a wife and 6 children. This death notice appeared in the Mountain Eagle Paper.
