    • Charles B. Jackson was born 1 mile south of Notasulga. At 21 years of age he entered Medical School at Atlanta Medical College (currently Emory University) graduating in 1886. He immediately located in Dora, AL and practiced medicine there until 1909, and then moved to Jasper, AL. After 1923 he served as the Chief Anesthesiest of Walker County Hospital, Jasper. He served as President of Walker Co. Medical Assoc., member of Southern Medical Assoc. and the American Medical Assoc.

      In 1930 he authored "Biographical Sketches of the Jackson Families of Alabama".
