    • MARTINEZ, GA. - Mrs. Emma Estelle Harden, 85, of Travis Road, entered into rest at the residence of her granddaughter, of Hampstead Place, on May 21, 2001. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Starling-Hatcher Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 200a, with Dr. Martin Baker officiating. Burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who loved God and her family. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her sons, Mr. James Mervin Harden and Mr. Danford Doris Hardin; daughters, Bennie Sarah Kitchens and Shirley Joyce Kuglar, all of Augusta, GA; sister, Maybell Chalker, of Gibson, GA; nine grandchildren and 16-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Starling-Hatcher Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to St. Josephs Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA. 30904.

      What I remember about Estelle Hardin, she made the best chicken and dumplings and the best lemon pound cake. She was proficient in keeping her home clean. She had a very good memory about all of her family and she was extremely kind and a very sweet lady.
