"OUR TIME IN HISTORY this WOOD FAMILY" by: J GLENN WOOD & ROBERT D WOOD, SR

Will of ISHAM WOOD (AAAL)

State of South Carolina, Spartanburg County

For reasons satisfactory to myself, and calling to mind the uncertainty of life, and being desirous of disposing of such worldly estate as it has pleased GOD to bless me with. Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in the following manner.

After paying my just debts and legacies hereafter named or mentioned, and selling that portion of my land lying and situated on each side of the Bumcomb Road. I give unto my wife, THURZA WOOD, the balance of my homestead land for her natural life or widowhood. I also give unto my wife my personal property for her life time. I heretofore have given unto OLIVER P WOOD, JOHN PRESSLEY WOOD and DANIEL MAYFIELD WOOD a certain amount of property which they are charged with. I have given ISHAM JEFFERSON WOOD some property which is charged to him.

I give and bequeath unto my daughters the proceeds of the sale of the land lying on each side of the Bumcomb Road, and the balance of my personal estate to them and their heirs, to be equally divided at their mothers death. (ELIZABETH W. WOOD, MARTHA DURHAM WOOD, ELMINA J. SMITH, RINDA G. WILSON, MARY ANN WOOD and ELIZA M. WESTMORELAND). I direct my executors to make sale of this land after my death if I do not dispose of the same in my life time.

I give unto my daughter ELIZABETH W. WOOD and my son ISHAM JEFFERSON WOOD my homestead place, like equal, so to give ELIZABETH W. WOOD the dwelling houses on her part and ISHAM JEFFERSON WOOD the improvements where he now lives, a short line running between the two houses, to them and their heirs forever, to take effect from the death of father and mother. I desire that my executors manage ELIZABETH W. WOOD'S estate for her so that she sustain no loss. I de sire that a line shall be run through the homestead tract of land giving woodland and some bottom land on each place.

I appoint my wife, THURZA WOOD, OLIVER P. WOOD, JOHN PRESSLEY WOOD, JOHN TAYLOR WOOD and ISHAM JEFFERSON WOOD executors of this my last Will and Testament made by me. I hereunto set my hand and seal this the 26th Day of May 1871.
