DEATH CLAIMED BOB WOOD LAST FRIDAY
For Years He Was Rural Carrier From Lawrenceville
Mr. R. B. Wood, fifty-nine years years old, died at his home in this city Friday afternoon after a protracted illness. For a long while he was carrier on rural route No. 2 from Lawrenceville and remained in the service until he was stricken while on his rounds one day and had to be carried home. He rallied and was able to get out at times, but never recovered from the effects of the paralysis.
Mr. Wood was a clever citizen and had many friends. Every patron on his route knew him and the carrier always had a kind word for every one, especially the children.
The remains were interred at New Hope Saturday, the exercises being conducted by Rev. D. W. Cook and Rev. C. H. Autry, of White county. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Mr. Wood is survived by his wife and nine children, eight sons and a daughter, besides his aged mother and several brothers and sisters, who have the sympathy of hosts of friends.
